Lorna Davis, the project lead, recently delivered a presentation on the issues of water quality and her view of the ambitious challenge of providing industry with methods to evidence responsible nutrient management, and the means in which we can do this.
Alongside Lorna, there were speakers from the Carmarthenshire Fishermen's Federation, outlining how they felt the impacts of agriculture were having a negative effect on water quality, and Natural Resources Wales on how they as a regulator are looking to work with farmers to improve water quality through projects such as the Dairy Project.
The presentation on the link below outlines the benefits of taking a look at how your farm performs, and the risks nutrient losses have on business efficiency, animal health and the surrounding soil and water environment.
