The UK Dairy Carbon Network, led by AHDB and AgriSearch and funded by Defra, brings together UK dairy farms to explore and implement practical solutions aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
It sought 56 dairy farms from four farm networks to join the project over a period of three years. During this time, selected farms will select, trial and assess measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
- Northern Ireland
- Cumbria and south-west Scotland
- North-west England
- South and south-west England/Wales
Why take part?
Research gathered will help dairy farmers to make informed, sustainable changes and contribute to a more sustainable future for the UK dairy sector.
Each farm will receive a tailored action plan, 1:1 support and a farm liaison officer. Financial support is available for active participation and involved farmers will have access to networking events and knowledge-exchange meetings.
The period for expressions of interest has now closed.
